I just want to share my website stats with you, because many of you have been asking.

I need to go over a couple things with you guys before I tell you the stats.

The difference between a ”hit”and a ”view”

In this case, a hit is when someone visits my site and clicks on 3 pages. That would be 3 clicks. So every single link that you click that links to content on my page would be considered one hit. So, if you click the title of 5 pages or posts, that would be 5 hits. A view is when someone visits my site. Nomatter how many stuff they click when they visit my blog that would count as one view. I am telling you this because the average person clicks alot of content which means there would be alot more hits than views.

Also, WordPress only counts views not hits, and I self hosted my blog and signed up for a hits tracking service, so I can only say how many hits I have had in April & May 2009

Ok let’s get started.

VIEWS

Total views as of Sat. May 30th:  186,719 views.

Views in October 2008: 2,397

Views in November 2008: 10,884

Views in December 2008: 21,888

Views in January 2009: 34,495

Views in February 2009: 28,396

Views in March 2009: 33,647

Views in April 2009: Around 23,000-24,000 ( I transfered hosts this month so I couldn’t get an accurate number and I only did 3/4 of a month in April)

Views in May 2009: 30,807

Average views per a day: 700 – 1,000 Sometimes 1001-2000 on rare days.

HITS:

Remember: I can only see how many hits I got in April and May 2009. And I only did half of April.

Total hits (in April and May) : 552,561

Hits in April 2009: 187,910 (HALF OF A MONTH)

Hits in May 2009: 364,651

DURATION:

Average duration on my site:

0 – 30 seconds: 53.7% of people

30 seconds – 2 minutes: 11.7% of people

2 minutes – 5 minutes: 6.9% of people

5 minutes – 15 minutes 6.3 of people

15 minutes – 30 minutes: 3.5% of people

30 minutes – 1 hour: 9.2% of people

1 hour or more: 4.5% of people

I think that anyone from the 15 minute mark on, means that some people minimized my website or put it in a different tab while on Chobots or on other websites because there’s no way someone would spend more than 15 minutes on my site, I don’t even spend that much time unless I am writing a post!

OPERATING SYSTEMS:

Windows: 88.7% of people

Macintosh (Mac) : 7.5% of people

Unknown: 2.3% of people

Linux: 1%

Nintendo Wii: 0.1% of people

Sont Playstation Portable (PSP) : 0.1% of people

Symbian OS: Like 2 or 3 people so it says 0%

Wow…NINTENDO WII?!!? AND A PSP!!?!? I guess the one of the websites that come to your mind while on  a PSP or Ninendo Wii is my website? Awesome!

WEB BROWSERS:

Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE): 50.3% of people

Firefox: 28% of people

Safari: 7.6% of people

Opera: 6.1% of people

Google Chrome: 5.1% of people

Old version of Firefox : 0.3% of people

Netscape: 0.1% of people

People still use Netscape?? Internet Expolorer people: SWITCH TO FIREFOX NOW! SO MUCH FASTER AND BETTER. Google ”Firefox” and download it. Much better
